About me

Sure, you don't need to know me to get my recipes, but here are some personal pointers for those of you who might be a bit trust-lacking.

I spent the first half of my twenties trying to get away from my Southern roots; scraping up any money I could and networking with people that could "get me out". By the time I was old enough to rent a car, I was living on a small island in the middle of the Andaman Sea. A few years later, completely homesick, I moved back to my birthplace. After all that running, I settled back down and accepted my Southern origins.

Today, my honey and I live at the heart of that place. With the state capitol in view from our kitchen window, we now do most of our adventuring in mode of food and drink. Whether it be honoring our strong celtic roots with traditional shepherd's pie or a fragrant stout stew, or it be stepping outside of our comfort pallets and diving into another foodie culture altogether, we are always chasing the next best taste.

That's me; a pretty close interpretation of how my kitchen is set up sans the narrow pantry (right?! no room); my full logo (if you see it out in the wild you can return it); this is my real job, I design and make pillows and curtains (click the picture to check out my shop).
