Fiber Fill

Fiber fill, or you may know it by the household name Poly-fil, is the economical option for filling anything from teddy bears to decorative pillows. It is cost effective but fiber fill is stiff and best used for items that are used lightly as it tends to clump. Because of its stiff nature, fiber fill works well with really thick fabrics, curved forms and for stuffing pillow corners to get a nice full look. It is also safe to use both inside and out.

All stuffed pieces on my site come standard with the highest quality fiber fill unless otherwise noted.

Microdown (faux feathers)

Microdown is something I have just seen move into the decorating scene. I, for one, am not complaining! It is essentially fiber fill that has a longer processing time and the result is HEAVENLY, honey!

Microdown is a little more expensive but for cushions that will be used very often this is a must! Safe for both indoor and outdoor use, this stuff fluffs like feathers but won't poke you or start to smell bad and it won't clump like fiber fill. Both faux and real feathers are used to achieve a "karate chop" or relaxed look.

Believe me; your bum will thank you!

Feather Down Blend

You know what you like. You grew up with feather filled pillows and you don't care if it costs your rent, you'll get what you want! Cruelty-free down blends are very hard to find so it's the most expensive fill I offer. Blends work well indoors for high traffic areas. Overtime, pillows flatten out with use but feather down can be "fluffed" (whacking the sides and top with karate chops) until desired form is achieved. Feather down gets a bad rap for stinking over time but it they are properly cared for and changed out when needed you will get a lot of enjoyment out of the look and feel of your piece.

Go ahead, girl, you treat yourself!

Stuffin' and Fluffin'

Believe it or not, all pillows are NOT filled the same. Sometimes we want a pillow that will strictly be used as decoration. Sometimes you need something to cush your tush for hours long Walking Dead marathons. This is the part where I explain the pros and cons of each option so you know how to best build a long-lasting piece.

I got chased and bit by a goose when I was younger...

still not my favorite animal.
