The best thing you can do for a recipe that calls for baked chicken
Pinterest has a wonderful "Tried It" button at the top of each pin that is a very helpful tool when scouting for new recipes. Not only can you get a good idea about the quality, you might also find some great tips on making the dish better or how to avoid any mistakes.
Recently, I was trying to find some inexpensive dinners for my weekly meal plan and ran across several recipes including baked chicken that had very low ratings. One pasta dish, despite being chock full of cheese, broth, milk, and veggies, was accused of being "bland" and "boring".
Using a Brine, Season, Rest technique taught to me by my Great Grandma Reese, I whipped up the pasta and it was outstanding! I will not bake chicken any other way now. This process makes the chicken juicy and takes out any of that funky rubber chicken taste other baked chicken may have. There's just no point in baking chicken any other way!
You may find a mix of seasoning you prefer better, maybe even a premixed blend, this one is just my favorite as it works with a range of different recipes. You may also substitute melted butter for a healthier alternative like extra virgin olive oil.
*Although it's not completely necessary, I like to "rest" the chicken before cutting. Simply remove from oven and let sit, covered for about 10 minutes before shredding, cutting, or serving.
